II Cor. 12:9, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Today we’ll finish our series on being wise to the Devil’s lies. Satan knows more than we do that faith is the most valuable commodity we possess on Earth. He wants to distort our beliefs, corrupt the faith God gave us, by getting us to belief the wrong things. Let’s look at one more lie of the devil.
- I’m just not enough. We women can so easily believe that we are not enough….not good enough, not strong enough, not smart enough. We are simply ill-equipped for the job God has given us to do. Satan tells us that everyday. We aren’t a good enough wife. We aren’t a good enough mother. We aren’t a strong enough Christian. We aren’t a smart enough employee. The list goes on.
I’m not here today to tell you that we need to believe in ourselves more. That is the common answer. “You can do it!” “You are beautiful!” “You are stronger than you think!” You’ve heard all the recent campaigns for women, telling us that we are awesome, wonderful, powerful….enough.
But, it’s not true. We are NOT enough. Pure and simple. Living in this sinful body, we are far from enough. The lie of the Devil is not that we are not enough. No, that is true. The lie is that we should despair or quit.
Ladies, a great day in our lives is when we realize that we aren’t enough, and we never will be. So we stop trying so hard, and we begin to lean on Jesus and His strength!
The Lord is waiting for us to realize, each and every day, and all day long that we are too weak to handle what we are facing. Give it to Him! He wants to carry our load for us. His strength is there for us. He longs for us to realize our need for Him!
God gets all the glory when we are weak and He is strong. He puts us in situations often that are too much for us to handle, simply so that He can rescue us and receive the glory for us. Ladies, all the stress is killing us. We live very fast-paced, demanding lives. We are NOT strong enough to do all that is required of us. Let’s stop trying. Let’s stop feeling that we have to get stronger in ourselves, physically, mentally, emotionally, so that we can be everyone’s superwoman! That is going to lead to a breakdown, sooner than later. God knows that we are weak. The sooner we realize that weakness is not a bad thing, the better off we’ll be.
Jesus is stronger enough for us! His strength is enough for our weakness. His wisdom is enough for to solve our problems. His might is strong enough to conquer the enemies in our lives and our minds.
Today, take time to be still and know that He is God. Have a few alone, quiet minutes with the Lord. Drink some tea. Read His Word. Praise Him. Give Him your burdens. Give Him your schedule. Give Him your worries. Admit your weakness. Then stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Let Him Handle It.
Have a great day, Ladies!
Enjoyed reading through this, very good stuff, thankyou.
